SGA Technologies purchases new filter press!

Plating processes inherently produce an effluent (waste water) that contains some non-dissolvable solids. SGA Technologies effluent used to be collected by tanker every month in the form of sludge. The filter press allows the on-site separation of these solids from the effluent and presses them into a ‘cake’. The effluent is then further treated through our on-site effluent plant in order to allow safe and legal disposal by us whilst the filter cake is collected by a registered specialist waste contractor. Dealing with our process waste in this way has drastically reduced the volume, frequency and associated cost of waste collection!
