Manufacturing process Engineer

Providing excellent technical support/capability in a wide range of aspects of the engineering function at SGA.  The purpose of the role is to improve the process of producing high quality products and effectively plan, design, set up, modify, optimise, and monitor manufacturing processes. Appropriate methodologies and tools will be used to support the achievement of these goals.



The role will include the following:

●      Oversee and assess existing processes, procedures and workflows, optimising and improving as necessary.

●      Design, develop, test and implement new systems and processes.

●      Optimize productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures, equipment and systems.

●      Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.

●      Track metrics to identify and drive forward opportunities for improvement.

●      Supporting efforts to verify and validate new product designs and processes.

●      Solving technical problems

●      Designing and implementing systems to reduce end-to-end losses and drive business results using creative and technical mindsets.

●      Driving process reliability and stability by solving problems within the factory

●      Producing, updating and maintaining technical and manufacturing process data including, reports, change notifications, specification documents, operating instructions and test procedures.

●      Provide engineering support to various stakeholders.

●      Working with Quality team to facilitate the response to customer claims and concerns in a timely and robust manner

●      Conduct risk assessments.

●      Actively supporting the improvement health and safety practices throughout the business



2.2 in a bachelor’s or master’s degree, HND/HNC or an equivalent vocational qualification in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 2 years practical experience; Mechanical engineering, Material Science or Manufacturing engineering ideal.
