Manufacturing Process Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

Design and implement systems to eliminate and reduce end-to-end losses and drive business results using creative and technical mindset

Drive process reliability and stability by solving chronic problems in the factory

Understand and analyse process variability root causes and define systems to eliminate them

Implement and maintain systems that collect, collate and analyse data on key process parameters

Build capability of operators and technicians through creating detailed instructions on procedures and coaching personnel to ensure there is a high level of competence in the operations team.

Provide full engineering support to various products designed and manufactured by SGA Technologies limited.

Verify product requirements, specifications and yields to support accurate costings

 Arrange testing and carry out investigations on products below target yield

Collaborate with all members of staff to ensure process equipment and testing runs smoothly

Work with Quality team to respond to customer claims, providing immediate containment action and ensuring a full investigation to the claim is carried out and recorded appropriately.

Respond quickly to any issues holding up production and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Actively work to improve health and safety practices throughout the business


Candidate Requirements

Strong technical, collaborative/interpersonal, leadership and data analysis skills that enable you to successfully troubleshoot and drive improvements and implement change.


Be passionate about solving complex technical problems and learn on the job

Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Competence in the full suite of MS software, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Ideally having some experience with solidworks or CAD to create part drawings.

Ideally have some experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Attention to detail

Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and be able to make your own decisions on technical queries once trained.



Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or Material Science degree preferred but good standard of general education and relevant industry experience will be considered

Trainee Plater (Plating Division)

Main Duties

Preparation and loading of components for a wide range of metal finishes, following procedures accurately and follow all health and safety guidelines.

Managing daily list efficiently Attend weekly production meetings.

Scanning for all Operations carried out on SFDC in accordance with SFDC guidelines.

Carry out XRF readings and analyse results, ensuring they are within correct specification
