A multiple pin feed-through is a connector that contains manifold conductors. There are two ways in which the pins can be sealed into a connector body. Firstly, by insulating the pins of the multi pin feedthrough from the casing using a single piece of glass, incorporating many individual sealing holes. Secondly, by insulating the pins of the multi pin feedthrough from the casing using individual pieces of glass.
The first option allows for increased pin density in a given space whilst the second option allows for higher pressure seals. These are widely used as a means of allowing electrical feed-through whilst maintaining atmospheric insulation. Various different material contacts can be sealed into a connector body, allowing all your transfer requirements in one feed-through.
